In a tight economy, credit unions have more relevance than ever for business. Brett Martinez President & CEO of Redwood Credit Union will discuss the relevance of credit unions in today’s market, how their services compare to banks, their push toward better
financial literacy and how they work with businesses and consumers to establish a budget to help meet financial goals.
Brett Martinez is President and CEO of Redwood Credit Union. It is the North Bay’s largest credit union with more than 240,000 members and $2.4 billion in assets. Brett has more than 28 years of experience working with credit unions. He has served as a senior executive with both the California Credit Union League and a large credit union in Southern California.
Brett also is an active participant in the community, working with a number of non-profit organizations and industry boards. He currently is a board member of RCU Services Group, the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, and the North Bay Leadership Council. He was recognized both in 2009 and in 2014 as the North Bay’s Best Community Business Leader by readers of Northbay biz magazine.
Brett holds an MBAS from California State University, San Bernardino, and is a graduate of the Western CUNA Management School.
